Description: American Stare is the newest play from award-winning playwright Tony Glazer & directed by Evan Bergman (Jericho, Poetic License). Set in a trailer park in South Florida, this world premiere dark comedy, mines the visceral anger of the disenfranchised lower class. Following the spiraling lives of a widowed woman and her pit-bull, a disabled child-predator, and a couple with their teenage daughter, we are challenged to see the world through their eyes -- a world led by a broken moral compass and tainted with the pervasiveness of special interests. Location: Keyport Mini Park

Description: Who's up for a FREE summer concert in Keyport? Slim Chance and the Gamblers are playing in Keyport at 7pm at Keyport Mini Park and I thought it would be a good idea to go see them. I have never heard them play, but I know that my good friend Cathi B, the Queen of Monmouth Rocks 2, goes to hear this band, so they must be good! So the plan is this: Meet at the lawn next to the Gazebo with your own chair anytime after 6:30 pm. I plan to set up my chair and the blue flag at 6 and then go someplace to grab some grub, there are plenty of options like Keyport Fishery, Keyport Pizza, Mikes Subs, a Sushi place and more. OR you can bring your own food with you. In case of rain, concerts will be held at the American Legion Hall, just down the block, at 81 West Front Street. (I will check and see if they serve food) There is plenty of free parking down near the bulkhead where the gazebo is located off American Legion Drive.
